1 Year Anniversary!

Happy New Year to everyone! We have rolled the calendar over once again, to 2010. I don't know about you, but 2009 just flew by for me. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years these past 2 weeks.

This month marks the 1 year anniversary of my website, and for me as a photographer. It was January 2009 when I purchased my first SLR camera. I had never owned a camera in my life until a year ago. Photography helped make 2009 a really exciting year for me. I have received a lot of great response and feedback both online and from local's who have come across my work. I always love to hear peoples feedback. Im also grateful for the many photography friends Ive made across the globe in my 1 short year in the field. My website has logged right at 11,000 visitors and 47,000 page hits since I launched it last January. I look for that to continue to increase into 2010.

I have some exciting new projects that are in the works to kick off 2010. One, is a new website. Not a new personal website, but a joint gallery between myself and several other photographers. The website will be a joint collection and gallery, from multiple photographers, across several countries. It will be entirely dedicated to landscape and wildlife photography from around the world. I am proud to be working with some of my great friends on this project, as the primary developer. As soon as this new site is up and running, you will find a post here! We have only just began the ground work on it, and hopefully everything works out to have it up and running soon. This new website will be ran in addition to, and separate from, my personal website here.

Also in the works is a trip to the Smoky Mountains! I have not ventured into the mountains since I picked up photography, and Ive been really itching to go. I hope to be up there sometime later this month or in February. This trip is entirely for the photography, so I hope to bring back a lot of great landscape work.

I may also be looking at taking a cruise sometime after I return from the mountains. I may wait for some warmer weather to take on this venture, but hopefully my galleries will be graced with scenes from the Caribbean in the first half of 2010.

One last thing to mention is that I have begun selling prints. I have already sold several to some locals who came across my work in my office. I have not yet added pricing set ups to my website, but am thinking of doing this soon. If you would like to buy a print, simply go to the image, and click on "Get a quote" at the top. From there, you can submit a request to me on what you would like. You may also use the contact link on the main menu. I do all of the processing and printing myself, and I can guarantee that my work will look every bit as good printed as it does on your monitor (and in most cases much better). I use high quality pigment inks and heavy weight papers. I can print Gloss, Matte, or Luster finish and at sizes of anything up to 13x19" in size. I do have one panorama in my galleries, and I am able to offer this print at 13x42" on Premium Luster paper. My prices are much lower than you would expect to pay at most photographers websites. 13x19" prints are only $30. 8x10" prints are $15, and 5x7" prints are just $10. If you are local, I can supply you with multiple samples at different sizes in a face to face meeting to show you exactly what you will be purchasing. If you have any interest, just get in contact with me.

Thank you once again to everyone who has visited my website this past year, and sent in feedback. It has been a big motivator. Have a great 2010, and stay warm!
